LEARN STUFF. MAKE MEMORIES.
Sometimes, I get the rare pleasure of taking my English classes outside of the “classroom”.
In 2019, I had the great pleasure of hosting two of my closest students on a 3 week trip through Western Canada. I planned the itinerary for them based on their interests and requests, and made sure to integrate insightful and engaging lessons into our adventures. I allowed them the opportunity to speak as much English as they wanted, and switch to German when they needed, which made for a stress free intensive course, with plenty of interaction with other locals. The three of us had a bunch of fun touring Edmonton, Banff National Park, and Jasper National Park, before we bid our goodbyes. I let them continue on to Kelowna, BC and Vancouver, BC on their own with a specially curated bucket list of achievements to complete. Talk about a graduation ceremony!
